Well it’s very unusual time for anyone to think about valentine at the middle of the year, where today China is celebrating Qi Qiao Jie (valentine day), this is not like any other valentine day for China it’s just 24 hrs before the big day for china. Olympic counter can be moved to minute.
China has proven that they are the brightest & the best host for Olympic Games 2008. Well coming back to the valentine part, this day is dedicated for the lovers all around the globe. There are several charming customs associated with this romantic day for lovers.
Chinese Valentine day is basically moves around two legends. Both involve the position of the stars on the seventh day of the seventh month in the Chinese lunar calendar (August 7th in the year 2008).
Today, star gazers celebrate Qi Qiao Jie by gazing up at the star Vega, east of the Milky Way which represents Zhi Nu, and at the constellation Aquila, on the west side of the Milky Way, where Niu Lang waits for his lover to join him.
There are more names for this romantic festival of lovers like Seven Sisters Festival or the Festival of the Double Sevens.
I give my best wish for all lovers around the world, even who don’t even know about today. In China today every lovers want to give an annual tribute to romantic love, is fast approaching. Florists, card shops, and chocolate vendors are all doing a raging business as lovers rush to purchase tokens of their affection.
